They Shall Be Called

About The Author

Gracy Henrietta Reid, MS, is an author, entrepreneur, and devoted servant-leader whose life and work are deeply rooted in faith, prayer, and service to others. Guided by a lifelong calling to intercessory prayer and the study of God’s Word, Gracy brings spiritual wisdom, compassion, and purpose to everything she does.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and later completed a Master of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences at Alabama A&M University. Her academic background, combined with decades of real-world experience, has shaped a thoughtful, people-centered approach to ministry and writing.

Throughout her career, Gracy has served in diverse leadership roles—including political administration, real estate, and restaurant ownership—each providing valuable insight into family life, community building, and the importance of meaningful connections. These experiences have uniquely positioned her to understand the hopes, challenges, and spiritual needs of families across all walks of life.

Gracy is especially passionate about prayer, biblical teaching, and spiritual encouragement. Her work reflects a deep reverence for scripture and a belief that names carry identity, purpose, and destiny. This conviction is at the heart of her book, written to support new and expecting parents who desire to choose faith-rooted, biblically inspired names for their children.

Through her local church, Gracy actively serves underserved and unhoused communities, helping to provide food, care, and spiritual support to families in need. Her ministry is an extension of her faith—practical, compassionate, and grounded in love.

They Shall Be Called: Easy Bible Baby Names is a reflection of Gracy’s devotion to prayer and scripture, offering parents not only a collection of names, but also spiritual insight, encouragement, and confidence as they begin the sacred journey of parenthood.
